Leadership

A leader does not do the work of the people in his organization. Instead he gives them the tools necessary to succeed and trains them to know how to use them.

The success of the people in our organization is not our responsibility. It is our responsibility to see that they are trained and have access to all of the tools they need.

A construction foreman does not run out and buy all of the tools his crew needs. He expects that his crew will invest in the basic tools and learn how to use them.

Unfortunately many people in business are like a construction worker who fails in an attempt to build the house and goes back to the store for a new hammer, because it couldn't be their fault, it must be the hammer.

Lead by example and expect your team to carry their own weight.
